    450 Petcock Leak

My bike was parked in my garage for a week on the side stand. Then the weather got cold. I saw a small gas leak on the floor. I noticed my left carb was wet. I thought my carbs were overflowing, but it was coming from the petcock. I took the tank off and put it over a bucket to watch the slow leak.

Could the change in temperature cause the petcock to leak? Maybe it's just a bad petcock? Do I have to replace the whole thing? Or are there just o-rings I can replace?

It's lasted 32 years. Buy another petcock and forget about it for another 32 years.

That's what I figured. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't caused by the vacuum and rapid temperature change so it doesn't happen again. Thanks.

I replaced mine for less than $US80 from Boulevard Suzuki... well worth the peace of mind I say!

Even better, and you'll likely get much better customer service too...
