'83 650G petcock aftermarket vs OE

    Hi Folks,

I needed a petcock assembly and ordered this part http://www.z1enterprises.com/ItemDet...item=KL18-4358 from Z1 which has been a recommended supplier here. Rob was very helpful.

I have since in other searches here and elsewhere found folks suggesting to go only with an OE petcock. Should have I gone with the OE (~40% more $)? I am not new to mechanics but new to bikes.

    Thanks for sharing your experience.

I'd use the Z-1 part in this case.

No, you're good to go, they are good quality - I have used those Z1 petcocks on several bikes with zero issues.

Crap!! I asked the fellow if I need O-rings and he said they come with it.

I'll check that thread out, thanks!
