Have a quick question on fitting a 82 750 header on a 79. It appears i either need longer header bolts, or it should fit in closer. Any thoughts?

That looks correct you just need to get proper bolts , I use Allen key stainless round heads ,brian -
I'm not sure but they are two totally different motors
79 is an 8 valve , 82 is a 16 valve and I may be wrong but I believe the spread and port size is differentComment

I was told that even though theyre different motors, an 82 would fit..when I put them on the motor the spread seems fine, im just unsure if the port depths are fine or if I needed longer hardware.Comment

Yes like I said it looks good to me in pic , just need to get the right length bolts and you are good to go !Comment
