    will this exhaust fit?

Hi been member for a while but lost my last user name so had to create new one. looking to see if one of these exhaust will fit my 81 gs1100e

says he doesn't know if it will fit mine cause theres no 81 for him to test fit only 82 and 83

any info would be great, I don't remember if 80-83 shared exhaust, like to think they did

Yes. The pipe will fit. you "might" need to fab up a support for the back end though. I have one on my bike and it's a sweet piece of craftsmanship and Chris is a member here, search user "motogpwerks". Paul

If you have the money go stainless, you will not regret it.

Sound and Power are both great! In my opinion it is "head and shoulders" above the V&H.

                I never had a V&H... so I can't make the comparison

I'll give you a hint, the V&H chrome will generally be flaking off of the down pipes in 1-2 years depending.

Well done. Have you started it and rode it yet? How do you like it?

I started seems to sound good, gotta do a carb sync and set timing I think a little better with the dyna s make sure I got it right. It runs not bad. Quick question though when warmed up idles and revs good but when you rev off idle and let go of throttle rooms drop down to 400 or so and it's stumbling after a few seconds it will work it's way back to idle. Idle a/f screw? Iam going to video it running and post on you tube so u guys can hear the pipes

did some tuning with it today got rid of idle diving down after bliping the throttle, know it stumbles while crusing something with idle cruise circuit, its about 1/8th of throttle about 2800rpm-3000rpm stumbling, it was worse when i turned my a/f screws in to 2 turns out no power to even maintain speed, 2.5 turns out made it better, but didnt get any better with 3 turns out. I put new floats in so iam suspecting know maybe i didnt get the hieght just right maybe a little lean. when you cruise is the problem you give it anymore throttle its clears up and runs great.
