has anyone tried rebuilding petcock with OEM gaskets ?

Hi everyone

I was looking around and noticed that the OEM gaskets are available for purchase for petcocks.

I know ive been told that the rebuild kits are a bad idea. I am thinking that perhaps the soft parts in the petcock rebuild kits may be cheap or ill fitting.

Has anyone tried to use the OEM gaskets and parts to rebuild a petcock ?

None of the components on the diaphragm side are available separately. Those are the parts that are usually the cause of petcock problems.
