Did you purchase a jet kit?

Depending on the altitudes that you ride in and the type/brand/quality of your filters and that they do not block your air jets, start with 3-5 sizes up on your main jets and adjust the fuel/air screws to fine tune.
Your stock main jets should be 112.5's so get 120, 122.5 and 125 main jets and have at it. Good luck.

odd. why did you oil the pods?

I had no problems at all when I installed pods and a stage 3 on my 750.

K&N's are supposed to be oiled.

Have you considered ditching the stock exhaust for an aftermarket pipe or straight pipes? I have a feeling the stock pipe is what is holding you back with regard to this stage three jet kit. I followed the directions in my stage three jet kit with straight pipes and she fired right up after not running for nearly 15 years.
