    Exhaust bolts or Studs?

    Hi Guys,
    I am in the process of rebuilding an 1150 head and will need to insert helicoils in some of the exhaust threads.
    I will be using Yoshi headers so they will need to be removed to change the oil. The bike is an '83 Katana with '93 GSXR 750 front end. The bike will not be an everyday ride.
    My questions are;
    Am I better off replacing all the threads with helicoils and use stainless steel bolts?
    If studs would be a better option, which OEM would suit or is stainless steel a better option?
    Are spigot an option with stainless bolts.
    Open to all advice and suggestion.
    Thanks in advance. Rob

    Use studs.Suzuki used bolts because it makes it easier on the assembly line.I used SS bolt with the heads cut off on my 85 750 but if I was doing it again I would just buy standard automotive studs.
