    Bst36ss carbs 1200 motor tune

Hey all - I have a bandit 1200 powered 1100l bike. I got it running today but when I give it gas it stalls. I suspect vaccuum leaks and that im running lean. Can anyone advise the vaccuum ports that should be blocked and any other ideas that could help? Im running 150 mains, 32.5 pilots, pods and high flow exhaust.

    Thanks

I don't know the motor but those carbs have a sync port on each diaphragm cover. Cap off any ones you're not using. I use the #2 carb port for my petcock and cap the rest.
    I run 140's & 35's. Siamese K&N pods and a Kerker

Get a DJ kit so you can adjust the needle.

What about the one on the outside of carb 4? When I cap it the motor stalls. Is this some kind of breather?

Leave it alone. From the casting it looks to be a bowl vent.

If you mean the needle washers, I followed the dynojwt stage 3 instructions herr https://www.google.com/url?q=http://...Ox24tEbeZPMG7Q

Put a Dale Walker Holeshot Preformance jet kit it is the only kit I would ever use for a Bandit motor. The DJ kit just plan suxs plus you can call Dale and he will personally help you if you have any problems.

the carbs in this pics are the highly sought after 38 or 40 mm GSXR C/V not Bandit carbs

I believe that they're BST36 SS, just like the title of the thread. They are off an early GSXR.

I had oil on plug 4, plug 1 looked good. Didnt check 2 or 3. Im going to retorque the head because im sure that oil is fouling plugs. Also, the motor is turning over super fast, like low compression. I dont think its piston rings, because I compression tested it when I bought it.
