Proper intake boots for 34mm RS carbs on GS1000 Head

I thought about the shouldered bolt idea - unfortunately metric shouldered bolts are very expensive....

Dunno where you get your shouldered bolts from but they are cheap as chips in my part of the world (and ebay)
plus, isnt it worth paying out a few bucks for proper fitting bolts? mindless money scrimping if you ask me.

Yes they do - I work down the street from McMaster. Stainless shoulder bolts in metric are almost $7 per bolt...

Forgive me, I used the left pane on McMasters website to narrow diown the metric sizes and it omitted some of the cheaper metric shoulder bolts...

Dude, that's like $56 how much are you spending to have the head work done and then buy the proper boots?

Take a look at these two descriptions and let me know what you think - they look identical except for the type of groove at the end of the boot. They also look to be the same height but this dimension is not shown on Z1's website...

I'm not opposed to spending the $$$ - just wanted to explore all of my options first.

Also, hashing out all of this crap now may help someone else in the future...

Do you have a price for the proper Mikuni boots? they would be a perfect fit but i bet they are quite expensive.

Once I get the boots I will size up the proper bolts from Mcmaster and post the part number on here... I may opt for a shoulder bolt with a low-profile head. I need to see how "thick" the flange is on the new boot so I can order a bolt with the proper shoulder height. Also, even though the shoulder bolt has a wide head, 13mm, I would still like to put a washer underneath it so the bolt isn't turning against the rubber coating on the boot...

Don't forget anti-seize compound esp with SS threading into Aluminum.
