bellmouth/velocity stacks

Hi Guys...I know there is a post in here somewhere about this but just can't seem to locate it...I have got a spare set of 29mm slide carbs and a set of velocity stacks and was thinking about cleaning everything up and giving them try....I run a Harris 4 into 1 pipe....can someone give a me a starting point for needles and jets...it is for a 1979 GS1000E

Have a look at this thread, there might be something in there to give you a starting point. My own bike is close to your set up, just no velocity stacks.
