Thanks Steve, I had heard as much. I was just wondering as they are the only tri-y headers that I have been able to find for the 81+ 16 valves.

V&H pipes are much better and you shouldn't have any problems finding them for your bike. 1981 16 valve what?? 750? 1100?Originally posted by callahanoffroad View PostThanks Steve, I had heard as much. It's a 750E. I've found more than a handful of 4-1 exhausts. That's not the problem. I was just very specifically looking for a 4-2-1. The reason being it links the 1&4 cylinders and 2&3 cylinders, which tends to produce some nice power throughout the rpm range vs just at the top end. Unless the gs has a non-traditional firing order that I don't know about.

4-2-1 exhaust is going to give you better performance over a 4-1 exhaust as the scavenging is better

Scavenging, that's the word I was looking for. 530 am isn't the best time for tech talk I guess hahaha. So does anyone have any recommendations besides Micron? Mac was like I have stated the only 4-2-1 I had been able to find. Am I better off just having one custom fabricated?Originally posted by huntb View Post4-2-1 exhaust is going to give you better performance over a 4-1 exhaust as the scavenging is better

I'd just pick up the Vance & Hines. Any advantages of a 4-2-1 on the low end would be VERY minimal on a basically stock engine.http://img633.imageshack.us/img633/811/douMvs.jpg

Darn, with so many daily riders it's hard to decide which one to jump on next.;)
