Does anybody know if a throttle shaft from any other years besides 80-81 GS1100E will work in my carbs? I need the #4 throttle shaft and boy its tough to locate one. Any input is very much appreciated.

Why not just pick up a replacement body? Much more common to find one of those. Just make sure that the body is from a 16V engine as the main air jets are different between the 8V and the 16V and they're pressed in place so not easily changed.http://img633.imageshack.us/img633/811/douMvs.jpg
