Non-Vacuum Petock option??
I've searched but it seems like everyone opts to rebuild or buy OEM/repop petcocks. I prefer reserve/on/off petcocks to vacuum units. Has anyone convereted to a non-vacuum one? It's a 1977 GS550 tank.
I appreciate the help.Tags: None -
I bought a new reserve triumph/bsa, tap, ethanol proof from ebay about ?11.00 plus made up adaptor plate from 10mm thick aluminium, tapped some matching threads and a bit of Viton sheet ,about ?25.00 all in.
but I don't have a reserve on tap, just on or off .I always keep tank topped up.Comment

You can make the early GS vacuum petcocks into mechanical ones with an off position. I did a thread about it a few years ago. It wasn't too hard.Comment
