    Non-Vacuum Petock option??

I've searched but it seems like everyone opts to rebuild or buy OEM/repop petcocks. I prefer reserve/on/off petcocks to vacuum units. Has anyone convereted to a non-vacuum one? It's a 1977 GS550 tank.

    I appreciate the help.

i fitted an early GSXR750 tap to my 78 GS1000. you need to make an adaptor plate for it but it works great
    1978 GS1085.

Just remember, an opinion without 3.14 is just an onion!

I bought a new reserve triumph/bsa, tap, ethanol proof from ebay about ?11.00 plus made up adaptor plate from 10mm thick aluminium, tapped some matching threads and a bit of Viton sheet ,about ?25.00 all in.

but I don't have a reserve on tap, just on or off .I always keep tank topped up.

You can make the early GS vacuum petcocks into mechanical ones with an off position. I did a thread about it a few years ago. It wasn't too hard.
