Hey guys, I just picked up a 2005 gs500f which runs awesome, only 7k miles on her,I already cleaned the carbs, lubed the chain and changed the oil, only problem is that it stalls with 1 1/2 gallons of fuel left, is this normal, petcock is on and fuel is on position...if I switch it to the reserve position it'll start right back up and run good, everything looks to be normal... Any ideas?

If it starts running fine in the REServe position, it sounds like everything is running as it should and you have a 1.5 gallon reserve.

Yep, that's how it supposed to work. Your bike is letting you know you only have a gallon or so of gas left. The RES setting is your reserve fuel allowing you to make it to a gas station.
Time for a fill up !!!!
