    Throttle Shaft Seals!

I have searched basskliffs website for info about this carb, and others with a similar setup, and still cannot find out how to properly remove this cover! It is a Mikuni dual barrel carb for an 83 550.

Pretty sure it is not meant to be removed. You'd have to drill and pull it...

Did it deform at all when you removed it?

Those are basically dust shields. Not critical that they seal completely. They can be pretty deformed as long as the shaft turns freely.

Darn, with so many daily riders it's hard to decide which one to jump on next.;)
