Help!! Petcock question
I have a 83 gs850g and i am switching the tank out and my stock tank has a vaccum line for the petcock and my new tank only has a fuel line..no vaccum line..is it possible to bypass the vaccum line? ? Will it cause any issues?? Idk how to go about it..lol.. I am new to the group so if this is posted in the wrong area i appologize... any help or insight is appreciated. .tanks in advance. .. -
The vacuum line just goes to one of the intake rubbers - you can block it off with a golf tee or a 6mm bolt.Current:
Z1300A5 Locomotive (swapped my Intruder for it), GS450 Cafe Project (might never finish it....), XT500 Commuter (I know - it's a Yamaha )
Past:
VL1500 Intruder (swapped for Z1300), ZX9R Streetfighter (lets face it - too fast....), 1984 GSX750EF, 1984 GSX1100EF (AKA GS1150)
And a bunch of other crap Yamahas.... -

Thank you for the quick reply i appreciate it. ..blocking it off wont give me any idle or fuel feed problems?Comment

On the contrary, NOT blocking off WILL give you lots of problems.
The line you need to block is the one coming from the engine side of carb #2.Comment
