Brand new to this website, but have found plenty of good answers already!
I recently purchased my first bike! A beautiful '82 GS750. I cleaned the carbs, replaced the jets with larger sizes, added pods on to the bike and am transforming it into a caf? racer. It used to bog down because it was running real lean, but have since fixed that with the jets. The only problem happening now is that the bike idles really high (around 3,000 - 4,000 RPMs) while I'm riding and holding the clutch down. After coming to a stop, it will continue to idle high in neutral. I've played with the idle adjustment screw, and also with loosening the throttle cable, but can't seem to drop those RPMs. Weird thing is when I first start it up, it runs around 2,000 RPMs. Just in the process of riding does it skyrocket. Does anyone have any ideas of how to fix it, or figure out what may be wrong?
Appreciate any help I can get!
Thank ya!
