    Alternatives to the 1980 1000E 1000S petcock

    The Prime position seems to stick on my 1978 1000E which was fitted with a 1980 tank by a dealer in the early 80s due to rust in the original tank. I have had trouble with the petcock goilg into Prime. I replaced it and still have the same problem. I'm running a 1982 1100/850 G petcock on one 1000G with no problems other than long fuel and vacuum lines.

    Anybody use anything other than the standard petcock on a 1980 1000E or 1000S?

          Yes, Pingle is there, and I might go there. In the context of my question, I actually meant alternatives keeping the vacuum operation. I've gotten so used to it now.
