    1978 carburetors gs550

    Frame number is gs550 116665.

    Was told this is a 1978 gs550.

It should have vm22ss on it according to the manual.
These look like bs32ss carbs on the bike. It's acting like it has an air leak. Won't rev past 4K without severe hesitation. Sprayed boots with carb cleaner and when spraying #2 I can get full revs on the bike. Don't see any cracks. New o rings. Rubber is still nice and soft.

    Any ideas??

Vacuum inlet screws are clean and seal well?

      Screws are clean. Seal well.
Flipped the intake boots so both marked with R were facing up on the right side. Did the same for the left. Carbs will not fit now.

Yes, post a pic - previous owners can be very creative.
