    Another K&L fail

My 78 1000C has stood for several months so today I gassed it up ......

    damn petcock leaking fuel
    damn float valves passing fuel

all done before I joined this site and saw the mixed reviews on these products

not impressed at all ........ 78 has that damn freaky overpriced petcock as well

oh well ..... partzilla and cycle o'rings here I come

    happy Christmas

Stock 77 or 78 750 petcock. Same body but the nipples face to the left instead of to the back. Bolts right up. May need longer fuel and vac line but thats all. Best thing is its about 1/3 the price of the 1000 Pcocks.

After 1 petcock and a K&L kit that leaked also. I went with the pingle valve with ON OFF and RESERVE Flows more and no more problems. Since I work for a Suzuki dealer I installed OEM needle and seats. May cost more but can't beat them for reliability.

One last quick question - Airbox hoses

I seem to remember 77-78 GS750 work with 78 GS1000 airbox ( suzuki don't sell them for the 1000) ... Is my memory correct ??
