Just found a post in the archives stating that the carb boots are the same ID so that means the carbs will interchange between the two bikes.Ed

Yes, they fit right on. I've been running 1150 carbs on my 1100 for years. I used a Dynojet kit and pods and it runs great. Made a huge difference in performance.Comment

Read in the archives that the boots are a tight fit. Think this comment related to the airbox boots but not positive. Found one older thread where there was some disagreement about whether the 36's were a direct bolt on into the 1100E. Some guys said yes and others said you have to force the boots on. If anyone has direct experience with this please chime in.Ed

The 1150 carb boots are ~2mm larger ID than the 1100 ones. I just bought some a couple months ago and measured them. They don't come in left and right anymore, you just turn 2 upside down. I am using pods on this bike so can't verify if the airbox boots are the same.Read in the archives that the boots are a tight fit. Think this comment related to the airbox boots but not positive. BTW the carbs will fit the 1100 boots, but will be restricted.

I posted a thread awhile back, noting that I bought some 1150 boots which were 10mm shorter than the 1100's.
No sure what that changes if anything in normal street riding or if now they're superseded and the same.GS\'s since 1982: 55OMZ, 550ES, 750ET, (2) 1100ET\'s, 1100S, 1150ES. Current ride is an 83 Katana. Wifes bike is an 84 GS 1150ESComment
