Will an airbox from an 81 gs1100e work for an 83 gs1100e? My 83 came with pods and I'm having a hard time finding one from an 83. I'm sick of trying to tune these carbs to work with the pods.

82 gs 1100. Is there a cage that goes around filter inside the airbox. I have 2 airboxes that were not on this bike when I got it. I'm trying to get the airbox back but filter fits loosely in box. I believe something is missing. Thoughts, suggestions?Comment

Does the filter have the foam on the one end? Mine 82 was loose until I replaced the foam.Comment
