    Mikuni jet sizes

Hi everyone. Just wondering how mikuni sizes their jets? I have a 117.5 and I've been told.by some members on here to go up 2 sizes. What number would that be? Thanks for any help

Most would agree that it would be a 122.5, but there are some that say that a full size would be a numerical increase of 5, so they would say 127.5.

What bike do you have and why do you feel you need to go up, let alone two sizes?

It's an 81 gs400x with pods. Bought it not running with pods no airbox. I know I need to rejetting because of the pods. Finally got it running and my throttle just dies around 7.5k. Been told by several forum members I'll need to jump 2 sizes in previous threads

I have no info or experience on the GSX400, but I will guess that you need to go up more than just 2 sizes.

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.
