    Wrong Exhaust??

Been working on the 81 GS450 i have for a while now. Recently i replaced a single exhaust setup the previous owner had foe the original duel exhaust but for the life of me cant figure out how to mount it. I noticed that the brackets on the exhaust itself are facing downwards so im wondering if the ones i got are the wrong ones or...??

Photos would help. On my 80 550 the brackets face downward.

      "Brackets on the exhaust".

Yes, photos or at least a better description would help a LOT.

here is what exhaust system looks like for 81 450. The originals had mufflers welded on but many 450s will long since have had generic slip-ons attached...These are still easy to find.

If I get what you mean, the "brackets" are "up" not down and are bolted to footrests.
