I need a new petcock for 1980 gs850l , I measured the bolt spacing it is 44mm is this measurement correct ? I see some comments say the measurement should be 50mm.

I just had my petcock bolt spacing measured again and came up with 44mm again everything I see on the internet says it should be 50mm is this right ?Comment

How about a pic pf your petcock- maybe someone switched tanks or you don't actually have a 1980 model. The typical 1980 petcock is 50mm centerline1981 gs650L

Sorry for the bad info I borrowed my neighbors calipers and it does measure 50mm , threw my calipers in the garbage. I see alot of guys are using the plastic shut off switches do these last or are there better ones out there ?Comment
