1980 gs850 petcock

Has anybody used a K &L or Mikuni petcock are they any good ? I know OEM is better but I don't have the money and I want to get riding again.

Is that 850 a G or an L? They use different petcocks.

Either way, try George Fix's Carb Parts on eBay.

I bought one of those petcocks and the check valve in the back cover didn't work so the prime in turn didn't work either.

It's an 850 L

I would bite the bullet and get an OEM petcock. Part number 44300-47270 is $85.78 from Parts Outlaw.

I'd get one from this guy... probably made by same factory that oem's come from....I bought the other style he sells 6 years ago and it's still good.

I bought a K&L from Z1. It came in the same box as the one posted by eil. Compared to the Stock Suzuki valve, It has the exact same mill marks. It looks identical so it probably came out of the same Japanese factory. I was lucky, mine works perfectly.
