Will GS1100 exhaust fit 82 GS750TBeen looking for a 4 into 1 for my 82 GS750TZ for a while now. Was planning on forking out $400+ for a Vance & Hines at some point. However today I stumbled across a used 4 into 1 for a GS1100/1150 for $100 locally. Will it fit my 750?Tags: None

Hmmm, I have a V&H/4-1 pipe and it also was the same for a GS1000. Not sure about a GS1100. You'd have to do a fit test. Good luck!

It did indeed fit. Bolted right up to the head, and the rear mount lined up perfectly with the rear foot peg bolt as it should have.

How about the clearance under the bike?

I would think that the 1100 engine would be a little taller, so the header pipes would be longer.
Longer pipes would hang a bit lower below the frame, but probably not far enough to be a problem.

Nice job! Did you need any additional add-on like a metal bracket to stop the center stand from hitting the chain when retracted?

As for clearance under the bike, I have about 3/4" of an inch or so clearance from bottom of the engine. Just enough for me to get a wrench in there to change the oil. I didn't have to add any metal or brackets. As for the center stand it was right in the way and I have to remove it. Its an old school Kerker exhaust, guess it wasn't designed to work with the stand. It kinds sucks but I can live without it.

Previous owner installed a stage 2 Dynojet kit when he removed the airbox and went to pods. It always seemed a little rich to me at part throttle so maybe this will help lean her out a bit. He also purchased a stage 3 kit but never used it, so I have larger mains on hand if I need them. Its 40F and raining so I didn't get to do a test ride yet to see how she runs. Sounded great when I fired it up though.Last edited by Guest; 04-08-2018, 02:37 AM.

Yeah, that sucks you had to remove the center stand to accommodate that pipe. Here's how mine turned out!

Nice Bike Ed. I hate I had to remove the stand but didn't really see any way around it. Pipe literally runs right under the stand mounts.
