If your definiton of "another sender" includes aftermarket, probably not.
At least you can expand your search to include these:
- 1980 GS1000GL - FUEL TANK (MODEL T)
- 1980 GS550L - FUEL TANK
- 1980 GS850GL - FUEL TANK (MODEL T)
- 1981 GS1000GL - FUEL TANK (MODEL T)
- 1981 GS850GL - FUEL TANK (MODEL T)

The part number is 34810-45300. There is also a 34810-45200, which has been superceded by the 45300.
The 45200 sending unit was listed for the '79 550L and the '79 750L.
