    FSM, factory service manual.

Fuel height is set to about 3-4 below max height as per the manual, so just below the top of the fuel bowl. A mm is getting harder for me to see these days, the eye doc just told me I need transition lenses, if I am closer than 16" it's getting to be blurry. My 3-4 is a guess

The manual states, 5mm +-.5 mm, IIRC.
1978 Gs1085 compliments of Popy Yosh, Bandit 1200 wheels and front end, VM33 Smoothbores, Yosh exhaust, braced frame, ported polished head
1983 Gs1100ESD, rebuild finished! Body paintwork happening winter 2017:D

I would rather trust my bike to a technician that reads the service manual than some backyardigan that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix things.

Thanks for the clarification. And for me, at 71 years...yikes.....have adapted well to lenses.....all good. And am comfortable as well with the metric numbers.

Being a transplanted Canadian you should be comfortable with metric

        Cheers
