Bench sync vm26 tip...
When bench syncing your carbs, make sure your idle screw is not backed out all the way, or for what ever reason removed...

Sorry, but your tip is incorrect. (Fully closed position, in preparation to manually adjust the throttle valves) Factory manual says to introduce a clearance between the throttle stop screw and the pulley. It's difficult enough to see any difference in slide height with the slides in their lowest position. Even harder with the slides raised some by turning up the throttle screw adjuster.
Back off the idle adjuster. Manually synch the slides as best you can. Then turn the adjuster enough so the bike will start. Set idle around 1,000 rpm's once the motor reaches full operating temp'. Synch with a vacuum tool. And on the seventh day, after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!

Thank you. and yes, I agree... My issue was I had removed the stop screw all together.. The lowest slide bottoms out, then your just chasing that back and forth.. Give it a try, its fun.-Mark
