I pulled my stock exhaust off for some detail work and upon replacing it, the exhaust had a leak at the head, (where it didn't before) hard to tell what port(s).
So I ordered factory Suzuki gaskets and installed them after removing the old ones, tapped out the bolt holes, ran a die down all the bolts
and used a small dab of anti-seize on the bolt, torqued them according to the factory service manual to 7-11 ft. lb.
Test ride proved excellent performance, rechecked torque and still a slight exhaust leak can be heard at throttle up.
My question is, have I missed a step?
I don't want to keep cranking down on the bolts too much in fear that I might break one.
Do I pull it all apart and try again, add a second gasket, some kind of sealing compound???
I'm at a loss right now and require expert advice.
Thanks,
Leon
