Where does this gasket go? Bs30ss

Bought this after looking at the parts catalogue... pulled both carbs down (gsx250) and haven't found one. The manual says don't forget this orings as per below
this is a flat rubber washer more so than a oring 2mmx 10m is and 6mm is

the fische doesn't show where it goes ... the manual points to point 4 attached ... I found nothing there ....being 2mm thick and the fact it doesn't actually fit "inside" the recess, but dry of on top of if I'm thinking the bowl gasket won't seal properly ? Maybe it will ? Maybe it goes elsewhere ?
i noticed it a common part to most gs carbs but all the fische are the same just show it to the site of the jet needle ? I did notice on some carbs the recess in the pic below is drilled through ? Maybe it's an error in the fische?
they didn't leak before with this gasket
any help greatly appreciated, I'm ready to put the carbs back together after their bath in dip

Some of the GS carbs I've seen have those flat rubber washers and others don't. They are to help hold that aluminum plug in place and help make the gasket surface level. If the gasket surface is already level on your carbs you don't need them. If the plug is sitting down though, I'd use them.

Thank you very much. The plug is nearly flush It sealed well without them I'll go with the ain't broke don't fix it plan
might need them for the other bike when eventually get to it

Yep, some carbs need the o-ring to support the plug others don't. I have not seen any real pattern as to which bike had them and which bikes didn't.

Well I didn't quite follow the don't fix if it isn't broken the main jet washer seemed a bit bend so I flatten it with the back of the impact drill ... time to get a new one it's od is about 1.5mm too big now ����
i do have another question
the spacer got the jet needle ? Between the washer and clip or above the clip ( I pulled all the carbs down instead of leaving one to check .. dumb dumb
the fische (above) has it below between the washer and the ering but I seem to recall it sat on top ? And the pic in the tutorial have it above ( though they are diff model carbs )

Correct assembly of the needle:
- Install the e-clip. Our US-spec carbs only have one groove in the needle, so it's easy. You may have multiple grooves, consult your carb specs for which groove.
- Install thin metal washer UNDER the e-clip (toward the pointy end).
- Install the spring under the metal washer.
- Install the thick plastic spacer ABOVE the e-clip.
