A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.
Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...
New users should be sure to read the FAQ as well as the posts in the Announcements forum. This will answer many of the questions you may have about how this forum works.
Before posting questions in the forums be sure to use the forum search function!!! Odds are your question has already been asked and answered before. And when posting, please make sure that you post to the correct forum.

. You were very helpful throughout, even repairing the original, correct rack of carbs (though PO had broken a couple of pieces), and returned the incorrect one that was on the bike previously (supposedly from an 81 or 82 SOHC engine)...I had sent both. As soon as I had everything assembled correctly, I started her up and she fired her up instantly (Bill had given me the tip to "draw" on the vacuum line to get the bowls to fill). I took her out yesterday afternoon on a beautiful, sunny 68 degree day south of Nashville. Smooth and strong all the way to redline. I adjusted the idle speed down and all was good. I did get a chuckle as I was recording a video and saw some smoke rising from around the airbox. On the "second" install, I had neglected to install the PCV hose on the airbox as I buttoned everything up. (DOH! Easily remedied). I haven't done any vacuum syncing yet, but again, everything seems to be running great. Noticed I have a lot more sound coming out of the left side exhaust now at idle, as compared with before (now equal to the right). Definitely corrected something there (I also did my first valve adjustment a few weeks ago, prior to sending the carbs out to chef1366). Thanks so much Bill!
