vm 26 fuel T sourcing question20190311_151121.jpgGS1000 with VM26 carbs has leaking fuel rail T. Is it possible to just buy the new rubber sleeves for the stock fuel T? Looking to get cheap because Im not keeping this bike.Last edited by Gregory; 03-11-2019, 08:06 PM.82 gs1100e FAUX Skunk

Definitely soak the T in gas overnight to let it swell up
If it's loose, it's going to leak
In fact, soak all 3 connectors1978 GS 1000 (since new)

 1978 GS 1000 (parts)
 1981 GS 850 (anyone want a project?)
 1981 GPZ 550 (backroad screamer)
 1970 450 Mk IIID (THUMP!)

These work well, I also used O-rings from http://www.cycleorings.com/ they fit better than the ones supplied. I believe I used two that were supplied to shoulder right up past the second groove on either side to help keep it centered : https://www.z1enterprises.com/fuel-p...-200-1026.htmlLast edited by OldVet66; 03-16-2019, 08:56 PM.http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum...ine=1440711157'78 GS1000E, Dyna-S ignition, Dyna Green Coils, K&N pods, Delkevic SS 4-1 exhaust, Dynojet Stage 3 jet kit, Russell SS Brake Lines, Progressive suspension, Compu-Fire series Regulator 55402 and Advmonster cree LED headlight conversion.

The new T is the way to go. If money is tight or you have time constraints you can slice down into the rubber and remove the fake O-ring and then install a real one in it's place. Just make sure the metal tube that the O-ring is sealing against is clean and free from any damage and that the surface is smooth.Ed

 To measure is to know.
