Another horror story? My buddy runs a shop (40 yrs experience) 60% of his business is carbs. Ok, brat bike needing jetting shows up. He tried Sirius but no needles. Tried Dynojet another no got. They probably made them way back when those bikes had the little mechanical carbs. I said tell customer to hunt for airbox. Anyway I think someone on here has possibly dealt with that model. Not his only POS job this week. Another beauty is a late model XS650 yammie-Z bars, hard tail, Sportster tank. The owner and his buddies thought it best to replace electronic ignition w points to be more Retro. Thanx from an Oldheimer. GJ

Still make the upgrade for the 650 with the cv carbs....I imagine it's useable in the 550 version with some finagling .

If you've got BS carbs the Katana 550 dynojet kit is available. If you've got VMs the needles are adjustable.
