Velocity stacks
Thoughts on velocity stacks ? Im think of putting some on my gs550 because they supposedly increase airflow and they look gorgeous. Any tips ? Experience with them ?Tags: None -

Like Pods, these are the kind of thing you can put on your bike and then never figure out why it won't run right. Do your homework well before making this kind of modification. -
Pods don't clean the air as well as the stock air filter in the airbox, and velocity stacks don't filter at all.Ed
To measure is to know.

Increasing air flow is only a bonus if the motor can flow more air
Cams, head work, carbs, big bore - velocity stacks will then make an improvement
Stock, or with a 4-1? Just unfiltered air. And a tuning problem
With the amount of dust where you live, I'd say no. Unless you have the money to rebuild the top end regularly
