Yes, I use a Pingle Fuel Valve on my 81 GS 1100e. It's a dual outlet valve. It pairs up nice with my dual inlet 33mm smooth bore Mikunis. I'd say go for it it's a high quality piece.

I'll also say, I've had my Pingle for over 25 years with no problems. It came from my race bike and now on my street bike.

I have Pingels on several of my bikes. They work flawlessly. In the event that there is a problem, the manufacturer will stand behind their product. I have never accidentally left one in the ON position. I have a habit of arriving at a destination and turning it off 40 or 50 feet before I park. Dar

Pingel or OEM...Either will work...The Pingel went on my GS when I was cool. But I am not cool anymore...

But still curious about rebuilding an OEM petcock yearly? Why?

Except for a little fuel starvation LOL.

I'd have thought VERY high performance, to slurp more fuel than a stock, properly opening, pet cock will flow.

However, I am someone "using a Pingel on their GS" as you requested.
My '83 GS1100E, is on its second Pingel in 10 years...
I just don't think it has any advantage over stock, only disadvantages...
Next time it fails, I am going back to stock...

Had one a low 9 sec, GS drag bike too, and it also needed to be replaced once...

                But hey...It's your money...

                Regards
No apology necessary, it's all good. I Was just confused that you have an OEM that lasts 20 years but you have a Pingel on your GS1100 . I have a new OEM on my '85 GS1150 and it leaks. I have rebuilt many OEM petcocks with success using the kits, but not this one . I have a Pingle on my Valkyrie 11 years now with no issues , but have never tried one on my 1150 . Thanks for your input on your experience with Pingel on your GS , good tech info .

Just make the o-rings are properly seated on the Pingel. From my old CBX dragbike.
This happened after a rebuild from Pingel. They were apologetic but a tiny piece of rubber floating around inside a carb MIGHT have disastrous results.

I had a single outlet Pingel on my 1150/1229 Kat for about 20 years or so. It's a Kat frame and the 1150 engine didn't allow the pretty end of the Pingel fuel tap w/o
cutting it off shorter. It was hitting the cam cover. At some point it had a weep, as I don't think it came with a gasket and had to fabricate one. Solved that eventually.

I seized three brand new Wiseco pistons recently and haven't bothered to rebuild yet, so using a stock motor I stole out my wife's bike.
