Rubber boots on carbs

Today I pulled the airbox directly behind the carbs on my 1100 so I could detail clean it as I piece things together.
The boots for #2 and #3 are rock hard on the bottom half of the circumference where my fingers point in the picture. I didnt pay attention when I pulled the carbs to go thru them months ago but it looks as if the carbs were not even fully seated in them....haven't tried but I dont believe I could even get the carbs in if I tried with as hard and slightly distorted as these 2 boots are.
Is there not a way to get these a bit back to pliable enough to use? Is there a concoction to soak them in or an otherwise option available?

I do not know if these boots are still available ?

I have had good experiences with GS1000 boots using a hair dryer,
warmed up they become soft again for a short while.
Good enough to mount them.

Some people swear by wintergreen oil and it did sort of work for me but honestly the best approach is to buy new ones.

Spent some time this morning researching the wintergreen oil method and I think I agree, if those are in stock that is cheaper than I would expect and I'll go that route. I already bought new ones for carb to motor so why skimp now. I still may experiment with the wintergreen oil if I can find it local out of curiosity.

It does work on pieces that getting hard, not so much on rock hard pieces

It works if you cut it 3 parts acetone/1 part oil and check it frequently

Yes shipping to Alaska has its challenges especially during this whole situation today.... I called Babbits and can get them for 10 bucks apiece but may be awhile they said with everyone being skeleton crews so I punched the part # in on ebay and found several, went with new stock in bags with oem tags guaranteed to be pliable and new for $44 for 4 and will be here no later then the 21st of this month. Theres plenty of other things for me to do in the meanwhile on the bike. Problem solved and thank you. Now.....what to do hmmmmmm.
