    GS550L Exhaust on a GS550E?

As the title suggests, does the 550L exhaust fit the E model?

    Thanks in advance.

The downpipes will fit the head, no problem. You may need to make a small bracket to get the silencer to line up. The silencer sits a little lower - you may have to lose your side stand, or at least be aware that it will not retract fully.

One other thing to watch for is the year. Starting in 1983, the 550 was a 16-valve engine. I don't know for sure, but the distance from the exhaust port in the head to the bottom of the frame might be different.

1980 still on points ignition. The separate headers are the same part number, it's the silencers/mufflers that are different. Definitely shorter on the L model, but will they fit and still look ok?
