    GS850 in High Altitudes

Taking the bike and some pals out to colorado and new mexico in two weeks. Should I be concerned about the bike in the high altitudes? will it run differently?

You should be ok as the bs carbs handle altitude much better than vm carbs, enjoy the ride.
The big guy up there rides a Suzuki (this I know)

It will make less power, but that's unavoidable in the thinner air.
If you get really high (>11,000') you may get a little burbling and roughness, but it should clean up as soon as you get down to lower altitudes.
