Fuel Delivery issuesHi all! So my bike actually starts now, except it only starts after having some carb clean sprayed into cylinders. it dies after about 2 seconds, even on PRIme, and my float bowls are full. I already rebuilt the carbs properly, no clogged jets, yet it's like the bike isn't managing to pull fuel out of the float bowls into the cylinder. Is this a vacuum issue? Or is the faliure within the carbs?Tags: None

i can't find a tutorial specific to my model of carb, but i followed the next closest one as closely as I could, while using the manual diagrams as a cross reference. The airbox is on correctly and i tested it for vacuum leak at the intake boots on both sides of the carb.

Sounds like the choke system isn't working. Did you make sure the choke pickup tube is open and the passage clear to the plungers? Also, the passage in the float bowls where the pickup tubes insert?Ed

I never thought about checking the choke system at all! to check the system, can i remove the plungers and inspect them while adjusting the choke?

Check the rebuild tutorial linked in my signature and make sure you go through each element. Even if your carbs are different the basic function is the same.Ed

Based on your comment about the choke plungers it seems you never removed them.Originally posted by JAPA View PostFunny you mention that, because the tutorial I followed was the one from your bio!Ed

These are the plungers, right? They stay attached to the choke cables so i have to remove them to detach carb. They have veen removed a few times now, but i meant i never checked the passages at all.Snapchat-866295356.jpg
