Need help with 1983 GS1100E airbox....Which one is correct?

I'm working on a 1983 GS1100E and have two different airboxes and do not know which one is correct. Looks like they both will fit but I want to get the correct one on this bike.

So, anybody have, or have owned, a stock 1983 GS11000E that can tell me which one is correct?

    First this one:

    Then this one:

So which one is the correct stock airbox? Or do I have two incorrect airboxes for this bike?

My "83" 1100E has the one in the 1st pic, the smooth one. I didn't buy the bike new, but have owned it for ny-on 20yrs. no reason to believe it doesn't have the orig. air boxes.

Thanks guys! Almost every picture that I found on the ole' interweb, of a 1983 GS1100E bike that doesn't have pods, shows the smooth one.

That's the one that I put on the bike. Looks like I lucked out this time!

Now on to the next issue!
