Suzuki part # 33510-45010 (outside)...# 33510-43010 (inside) need 2 of each, $ 24.98 ea... In the past NGK made them, a lot more reasonable priced, but "I've read" they no longer make them... Should be worth a look... Good luck.

Any further info on these caps? I have a 1979 GS850 and the outer spark plug cap Groups has gone south on me. Found the BikeCliff's how to and he gives the (NGK) XB05F and VB05F numbers but cannot locate a supplier for these caps. My local dist. says they are No Longer Available. Has anyone got info how to locate these caps or a crossover number? I guess buying one from Suzuki is a solution but would really like to replace all 4 but not at $25 US$ each plus shipping

Just punch those # 's in on ebay, several of both on there. Be sure to go to bottom of page, looks like 2 may be as cheap as 1.

Disassemble the caps and pull the resistors out of there, replace it with a piece of wire then run resistor plugs. Pretty sure NGK stoped making non resistor plugs and getting them out of the caps means never having to deal with it again. I've put plain NGK 90? non resistor caps on to replace mine, you can go that route for less than $10 although you want to go over making sure they won't lean on the valve cover.

Yep, me too Lab. All I've heard resistors were for reducing static on radios. I don't have radios so don't use any resistors anywhere. Others want to keep the resistors and that's good too.... No wrong answers, I don't think.

It's not eliminating the resistor just moving it to the plug.

Yes, you just moved yours, no problem. I just did away with mine completely, just cause I didn't see a valid reason for them.d any. Hope that isn't wrong, 40 yrs. now and no problems.

Thanks all. I have ordered a cap from a Suzuki dealer. They are still available so just bought one to replace the broken cap on my 850. Will follow the additional advice re removing the resistor and replacing with wire should something go wrong in the future.
