    Aftermarket Tach/Speedo?

    Hello ya'll

Checking back in with another question in regards to my 84 GS1150E, still love the bike, hate the dash.

I been poking around and I saw a thread for Cafe builders on reddit for aftermarket Dash set-ups and I found that Koso has several options that seem to be universal:

Has anyone done this conversion? seems like since the 84 is all electronic it should just go together with the correct wiring diagram but I figured I would ask if anyone else has attempted this and the relative difficulty of it?

    Appreciate any advice!

Hate the Dash??? I've always thought that was the prettiest dash, by far, that Suzuki ever had, though they did have some electrical problems. Sorry, can't help with conversion info. Also hate to anticipate what it would look like. I do hope you get something done that suits your likings.

The 84 has the huge brick of a dash on it, love the 83 which has the dual clock design.

Yep, brick with those beautiful lights all up and down the sides. If your 1150E bike had my "83" 1100E stuff and my 1100E had your 1150E stuff. We'd both be happy.

The '82 11E has the same dash as the '83, except for that stupid 80 mph speedo (which saved me from a speeding ticket once).

Darn near perfect dash if you dig old school analog. Except...

Too many idiot lights! Six too many! Neutral, Oil, High Beam and Turn are all we need. Less is more.

Hi , I put a motogadget dash on my 83 1100e, but it also included a complete re wire as I chucked the stock wiring harness. My advice, if it works, leave it alone. Bikes from the 80's had ridiculous wiring as my 98 gixer was way less complex. If you are helll bent on a new dash, do a complete rewire. Easier in my opinion.
