It's a pair of VM34s, they should close all the way, nearly. Check your throttle cable positioning and tension.

Thanks Grimly, I looked at ither images of vm34s and noticed they are nearly closed just like you said. Next time i get a chance to fiddle with it ill see how I can adjust the cable. Thanks for the heads up.-Tyler

Running seriously lean (which you would with no filters on) would make the idle race like that probably... it doesn't sound like the carbs are setup properly though.1980 GS1000G - Sold
