    Not the stator (again)

So my 3rd GS1100 bike stopped charging the battery.

It was the R/R not the stator. This one was so hot, it melted itself to the rear mounting bracket but luckily the wires stayed intact.

Fact is all three bikes had only R/R probs which brings me ask just when do the stators finally give up?

Just so you know, the R/R gets hot when it is busy frying the stator. Just depends which one gives up first; you have connection and ground issues that are causing this. Read my charging system health thread
