By the way, I did have to drill out the Pilot air screw covers in order to remove and clean them. Do the covers need to be put back in place? It seems like it would be much easier to make adjustments to them without having to remove the covers every time. Thoughts?

      Hi Mr. Skaat,

Just leave the caps off. No need to cover the mixture screws back up. The EPA mandated that back in the day to keep us from adjusting our own carbs and polluting the air.

And sorry, I guess I missed the part about you thoroughly cleaning your carbs. Well done.

      Thank you for your indulgence,

      BassCliff
