1981 Suzuki GS 650 GL
Bought the bike the other day and discovered there was no ignitor unit with on the bike. Been researching and I'm fairly certain in that the Dyna-s ignition requires no because it is an electronic ignition. Researched some more and I'm fairly certain in this too that the stock ignition on the GL is an electronic ignition as well. So shouldn't I be able to bypass the ignitor unit with the stock ignition? Anyone have a wiring diagram of how to bypass the ignitor unit?Tags: None -

You can find the wiring diagrams at the top of Basscliffs site.Bought the bike the other day and discovered there was no ignitor unit with on the bike. I just redid my 650GL ignitor with two automotive ignition control units.

My understanding is you need to mod the Dyna S mounting plate so make clearance for the oil pressure switch on the 650G. You might want to check the archives for more details since there have been a couple of threads on this subject in the past.Ed
