82 gs1100L neutral switch always on

for those of you unfamiliar with my plight i bought this bike for 340.00 on ebay. I have addressed most of the gremlins. at one time this bike was eaten by rats or rather the wiring was eaten by rats.

the issue: my neutral light is always on. THe blue wire that controls this is chewed at the plug. The plug is a replacement i found that just happened to fit. I have no idea what the factory plug looks like so i dont know where this wire goes. this is part of the gear position plug. I am now able to tell what gear im in but my neutral light is always on when the bike is. also green red that is in this same loom is chewed and i am not sure where to route it.

I could apply some brain power and figure it out but.....I wanna ride already and these details are some of the last ones

now I just need the charging system finished. thanks to the stator papers i know i need a new stator. not suprising.....well mildly suprising the previous owner said it cooked batteries but i am reading .01 ohms through the stator so idk

any ways if you guys cant tell me where the (L)blue wire and green red wire connect it would be much appreciated.

        If you go here

there's an owner's manual on the left column(1100GL). You can download that and go to pages 63 and 64 for a wiring diagram. Right now the link to the manual is slow but that is probably temporary.
        1983 GS 1100 Guided Laser
        1983 GS 1100 G
2000 Suzuki Intruder 1500, "Piggy Sue"
2000 GSF 1200 Bandit (totaled in deer strike)
1986 Suzuki Cavalcade GV 1400 LX (SOLD)

I find working on my motorcycle mildly therapeutic when I'm not cursing.

I have a manual with diagrams but it doesn't say look under the tank near the fuel guage does it?

Anyways got it hooked up and all is well

If anyone happens to know next to the blue is a green with red tracer....can't find where it goes to either.

Tip for you guys don't buy a bike that rats have gotten into unless you want to learn about wiring.

Stator and paint and a little tlc on the carbs and I'm on the road. Yay

it is part of the harness that comes out of the tranny gear position side. it was chewed off at the same spot as the rest of the wires to the plug but so was the blue one and it went somwhere else. if someone could check that harness and see where it goes. my wires are a little faded so i may have to list all wires in the loom

Well for some people it would certainly be enough.

The color code for that wire does not exist accoeding to my schematic and my wires are all accounted for

But guess what we all have our gifts mine is being a 6'4" evictions manager......so be glad its the internet

You try to make a guy feel bad for a comment related to something he had NO way of knowing.
                              Boo freaking hoo
Go post in the off topic since you seem to enjoy drama.
