    dash lites

    on my 1981 gs1100e every lite is on when my bikes running, i mean kiskstand, headlamp, battery all of them. is there a common issue with all these? now mind you i am running her just on the full stand.

    sounds like something is grounding out, Id check the connections to the gauges in the headlight bucket.

      All those share a common live and ground out through the switches far as I know. Has to be something that affects all of th so find out where they all come together and that's your point...

        ok, I wasnt 1000% sure about how they were wired thought thats how it was thought without looking at a diagram, so if they all share a hot and ground in the bucket and they receive a complete circuit by individual "switches" of some sort being grounded (brights from handle bar switch, neutral from gear selector, etc.) Then they have to be grounding out.

        That was just a suggestion but salty cleared it up take the headlight out and check those wires
